A smile is our most beautiful accessory. So why treat it like an afterthought at the bathroom sink? It`s time for a new ritual. Our smiles deserve the same luxury, care, and attention we give our skin.
How much money do you invest in dental care? Do you visit a dental hygienist? What if the secret to beautiful, radiant teeth isn’t just about the most expensive toothbrush? Join us in breaking down the biggest myths about dental hygiene and discover, with ESSENS, effective techniques, practical tips and new rituals that your teeth will love.

Everyone knows the basics of brushing your teeth - twice a day, morning and evening, is the classic routine. But you’ve surely also heard various legends circulating about teeth. So what’s the truth? Join us today as we explore these three “dental myths” that are still floating around:
Wrong. A standard toothbrush isn’t enough. Even if you spend ages brushing your teeth and scrubbing them with all your might, you’ll still only clean about 60% of them. There are places your toothbrush simply can’t reach. And it’s in those remaining hidden 40% that most inflammation and tooth decay occur.

Should you brush your teeth before or after breakfast? That`s a common question. If you have juice, coffee or fruit in the morning before brushing your teeth, the acids they contain will soften the teeth enamel for a certain period of time. If you brush your teeth immediately after breakfast, these acids are ‘pressed’ directly into the enamel. This causes mechanical abrasion, which is not ideal.

This is the most common mistake. If you rinse your mouth with water straight after brushing, the toothpaste doesn’t have enough time to work effectively and for its active ingredients to be absorbed. The solution is simple.
Want something more than just an ordinary dental routine? Classic toothpastes are the basics, but you can treat your teeth and gums to much more. Your teeth deserve something extra.

Do you experience gum irritation or slight bleeding after flossing? Do you have sensitive teeth and sometimes feel tightness or pressure?
Toothpaste with Aloe vera, acting as a soothing balm, has calming, regenerative and moisturising effects in the mouth too. It’s also suitable for cleaning teeth with braces, It soothes, calms and relieves minor dental discomfort.

Wine, coffee, tea - the most common causes of tooth discolouration. Toothpastes containing activated charcoal act like a weak magnet, drawing pigments to themselves. The contrast between the dark toothpaste and the resulting foam creates an instant optical effect of whiter teeth. But too much of anything is harmful. Toothpastes containing activated charcoal are ideal for use as a whitening treatment once or twice a week, and don’t forget to always rinse this toothpaste off with water.

If you are on a mission to achieve whiter teeth, try supplementing your efforts with the “white diet“. Avoid certain foods that can stain your teeth for at least a few days.

Create a new 5-minute evening relaxation ritual whilst brushing your teeth. And enjoy every moment as you lovingly look after your beautiful and healthy smile.

Step 1. Start with an interdental brush
Thoroughly clean the spaces between your teeth - pay attention to gaps of various sizes.
Step 2. Evening brushing + Dental serum
Brush your teeth using circular motion at a 45° angle. You can use a toothpaste with special benefits. (Note - toothpaste containing activated charcoal must be rinsed off with water)
Step. 3 Spit out the foam, but don’t rinse!
Get rid of any excess foam in your mouth, but do not rinse with plain water or mouthwash. Night-time is ‘prime time’ for the toothpaste to work. Your teeth will then receive the best possible care.
Step 4. Tongue care
A special tongue scraper exists, but you can also get a special soft brush to use just for cleaning your tongue.
Step 5. Gum massage
For 1–2 minutes, using a soft toothbrush at a 45° angle, make small vibrating circular movements at the line between your teeth and gums. Don’t press too hard; a gentle massage is enough to stimulate blood flow to the gums and help them regenerate.
A healthy and radiant smile isn’t just genetics or coincidence. It’s the result of daily care and simple habits. Are you ready to take your routine to the next level and treat yourself to an evening ritual or some extra dental care thanks to ESSENS?
